Scrabo Tower was built in memory of 3rd Marquis of Londonderry in 1857. With 122 steps, the view from the top takes in most of county Down and on a clear day the far of coast of Scotland. Silhouetted against the evening sky. Scrabo over looks the northern shore of Strangford Lough, and the town of Newtownards.
